Residency applications are accepted from Foreign Medical Graduates, and the following requirements apply:
- ECFMG Certified (prior to application)
- J1 Visa Only (No H1 visas)
- Applications accepted through ERAS only. (Please do not send paper applications.)
- No minimum board scores. No maximum number of attempts.
- Three letters of recommendation, preferably from psychiatrists in the U.S. (Letters should describe relevant clinical information.)
- Experience in psychiatry, e.g., trained and/or practiced psychiatry in home country; involved with psychiatry research in U.S.; externship experience in U.S.
- Recent dates of graduation preferred. (5 years or less for graduates with special training in psychiatry.) (5 years or less from completion of residency.)
- Deadline for application is December 1.
