Daniel J. Fredman, M.D. Dr. Fredman is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry based at the University of Physicians Healthcare Hospital at Kino campus. He currently services there as the Unit Director on one of the inpatient units. He also serves on the faculty of the University of Arizona College Of Pharmacy as a Clinical Instructor in the Pharmacy Practice and Science. Dr. Fredman graduated from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in 1975 and completed his adult Psychiatry residency in 1981 at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Prior to his appointment as Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, Dr. Fredman had been in private practice in Tucson, AZ for 25 years. He has also had experience in law enforcement with the Tucson Police Department and in the Military as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve Medical Corps. Dr. Fredman has also had experience in correctional psychiatry, and has worked as a staff psychiatrist on the adult forensic units at the Wyoming State Hospital. His Current interests include inpatient psychiatry as well as teaching and working with the residents and medical students on the inpatient unit. |
