  Adult Inpatient Unit
 

The psychiatry inpatient unit at University Medical Center is an 8-bed unit which is staffed by faculty and residents from the University of Arizona. The unit is an acute care unit that specializes in personalized treatment involving a range of modalities including group therapy, family therapy, individual therapy and thorough psychopharmacologic evaluation and treatment. Each patient admitted to the unit is assigned a nurse and is personally treated by a team of physicians involving an attending and at least one psychiatry resident. Comprehensive evaluation and acute stabilization with individualized arrangements for aftercare are the main goals of the unit staff.
